Barnardos Mother of the Year

Barnardos have started announcing the state winners of the Barnardos Australia Mother of the Year Awards.

Sandra Hunt, an indigenous foster mother of children with behavioural problems, and a disabled child, took out the Sydney honour.

More state winners will be announced in April in the lead up to the announcement of the 2010 Barnardos Australia Mother of the Year Award.
