In a first for any national sports team, the Hockeyroos have completely altered their uniform to support cancer research: they’re going pink.
With Hockey Champions Trophy in Sydney from July 11-19, the team will play in celebration of their charity partnership with the National Breast Cancer Foundation. Pink Ladies Day will take place on Sunday July 12 when they play Argentina in full pink bodysuits.
With pink merchandise for sale, spectators can also support the Hockeyroos’ fundraising for cancer research, and even the umpires are set to be pretty in pink t-shirts on the day.
