Since its inception five years ago, the Do it With Denim Design Awards have become an integral part of the annual Jeans for Genes fundraising programme.
Jeans for Genes raises funds for The Children’s Medical Research Institute, an organisation that works to discern the causes of congenital diseases such muscular dystrophy, epilepsy and cystic fibrosis.
The CMRI is now in its 50th year of operation; the theme for this year’s Jeans for Genes Campaign is “50 Years - A celebration of gold.”
There are two categories, soft furnishings and fashion, entrants submit photos of their design, which must incorporate at least 80% denim, and compete for cash prizes; visit the Do it With Denim Jeans for Genes website for more information about the Design Awards.
